No advertising or tracking SDKs. Little hours does not sell your personal information or use your care records for advertising. It has no developer-operated care-record server. NapTrack calculations take place on your device. Care records are stored on your devices and, when enabled, in iCloud. You choose which parents to share them with and where to export copies.
Who runs Little hours
Little hours is developed and maintained by an independent developer. This policy covers the Little hours iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch apps, their companion features, this website and support correspondence.
For privacy questions, email support@littlehours.cloud.
The information you record
The app stores information you choose to enter on your device. This can include:
- Child profiles, names, dates of birth, photos and growth-reference preferences.
- Sleep, breastfeeding, bottles, tube feeds, pumping, nappies, foods, reactions, medicines, growth, temperature and milestones.
- Notes, caregiver names attached to records, custom foods and pictures.
- Active timers, reminder settings, nap schedules and display preferences.
Some of these records may contain health information. They are used to provide your care history, timers, charts, reminders and sleep suggestions. You decide what to record. Photos you select are resized and re-encoded for use in the app.
Little hours is intended for parents and caregivers, not for children to use independently. Only enter or share information about a child where you are authorised to do so.
iCloud backups and family sharing
iCloud features use Apple’s CloudKit service and your Apple Account. Apple processes information needed to provide these services under its own privacy policy and iCloud terms.
Private backups
In the iCloud-enabled app, daily backups are enabled by default. You can turn them off in Settings → Export & Restore, make a manual backup or restore an available backup. A backup contains your complete care archive, including photos, and is stored in the private CloudKit area associated with your Apple Account. It is separate from the shared family archive. The device model, backup date and record counts are stored so the app can identify backups.
iOS controls when background work runs; daily backups are not guaranteed at a particular time. Restoring a backup replaces the records on that installation and disconnects its existing family-sharing connection.
Sharing with another parent
If you create or join an iCloud family, child profiles, care history, photos, libraries, active timers, growth-reference settings, reminder definitions and NapTrack settings are shared with the parents who have access. Those parents can read and edit the shared records. Notification permission and personal display preferences remain device-specific.
The family owner manages invitations and can remove invited parents. Joining another family can replace child profiles and records already on your device; the app asks for confirmation first. Changes made offline wait on the device until they can sync. Delivery depends on connectivity and Apple’s services.
Watch, widgets and notifications
The Apple Watch companion keeps a local copy of the child and care information needed to display records and timers. Entries and timer actions recorded away from the phone are held on the Watch until the paired iPhone confirms that they have been saved.
Widgets receive a summary through shared storage on your device. If enabled, notifications and Live Activities can display a child’s name, an activity and its timing on the Lock Screen, Dynamic Island and other supported system surfaces, such as the Watch Smart Stack or CarPlay. Choose the visibility you are comfortable with in the app and your device’s settings.
NapTrack uses the child’s profile, chosen nap schedule and recorded sleep to calculate suggestions locally. It does not send sleep records to an external prediction service. Siri and Shortcuts use Apple’s system features and settings.
Imports, exports and photos
When you import previous records using a link, your device contacts the service hosting that file. The service receives the request and the network information needed to deliver it, such as your IP address. Its privacy terms also apply. The download link is not saved in your care records. Imported notes and caregiver names may be retained as part of the imported history.
You choose where exported files are saved or shared. A complete backup contains the care archive, including photos and imported source fields; a CSV export contains readable care history. A destination such as iCloud Drive or another file provider may upload the file under that provider’s settings. Apple’s device backups may also include app data.
Keeping and deleting information
Care information is kept until you remove it or replace the archive. You can edit or delete individual entries, custom foods and child profiles. Internal deletion markers may be retained to prevent deleted records from reappearing during sync; these can also remain in full backups.
Deleting a record from the current archive does not rewrite an older backup or an exported file. Turning off daily backups stops future automatic backups; it does not delete existing ones. The current app does not automatically expire older private iCloud backups.
The family owner can use Settings → Family sharing → Delete family account to request permanent deletion of the family’s synced archive, the owner’s Little hours iCloud backups and this device’s family records. The app asks twice before starting. An internet connection is needed to complete cloud deletion. This does not delete an Apple Account.
Invited parents cannot delete the owner’s family account. When access is removed or a family is deleted, their shared copy is cleared after the app reconnects and confirms the change. Exports and other parents’ private backups cannot be erased remotely. A parent may still have an offline copy until the app reconnects.
Uninstalling the iPhone app removes its local container under Apple’s normal uninstall behaviour; offloading is different and may preserve its data. Uninstalling the Watch app removes its local cache. Neither action automatically deletes cloud records, separate backups or exported files. If you need help understanding which copies remain, contact support. I cannot retrieve or erase your private care archive from a developer dashboard.
Support messages and diagnostics
If you email me, I receive your email address and anything you choose to send. I use that information to answer your request and investigate problems. Please avoid sending your child’s full care history, medical details or photos unless they are necessary for a specific issue.
Support correspondence is kept while needed to answer and follow up on the request, resolve an ongoing issue or meet applicable legal obligations, then deleted. Your email provider and the support mailbox provider process messages under their own terms.
Apple may make app diagnostics available to the developer under your Apple settings. If you use TestFlight, Apple makes beta crash information and feedback available to the developer under its TestFlight terms. Reports may contain device and operating-system details, app version, technical diagnostic information, and any feedback, screenshots or contact information you choose to submit. They are used to investigate problems. Little hours does not include a separate third-party analytics or crash-tracking SDK.

Your choices and contact
You can choose what to record, manage family access, turn off future daily backups, control notification visibility and export or delete current records. See the sections above for the limits that apply to old backups, exports and offline copies.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, or to restrict or object to its use. Contact me about information I hold, such as support correspondence. For care records held in your device or iCloud account, the app and Apple’s controls are the main ways to manage that information. You can also raise a concern with your local data-protection authority.
