A little help

Let’s make your day easier.

A few answers to common questions, and a way to reach the person building Little hours.

How do I share care with another parent?

Open Settings → Family sharing, create an iCloud family and use Invite a parent. The other parent opens your invitation on their device using their own Apple Account. Both devices need iCloud and a network connection.

If they already have child profiles, accepting the invitation can replace those profiles and records after confirmation. Export anything they want to keep first. The family owner controls invitations and can remove invited parents.

Why hasn’t an entry appeared on another device?

Changes are queued when a device is offline. Check that both devices have a connection, then open Little hours on each. Settings → Family sharing shows the sync status and any issue needing attention. iOS manages background delivery, so updates may take longer while an app is closed.

A paired Watch can also keep entries while away from the phone. Reconnect the devices and open Little hours on each to help them catch up. Avoid uninstalling or resetting an app while it has unsent entries.

How do I back up or restore my records?

Open Settings → Export & Restore to manage daily iCloud backups, make a backup now, view the last backup time or restore an available backup. iOS schedules background work, so a daily backup may happen later than expected.

Under Advanced, export a complete backup or readable CSV history. Restoring a backup replaces the current records and disconnects the installation’s existing family-sharing connection. Read the confirmation before continuing.

Can I edit or delete a logged entry?

Open Day and tap the entry to change its details or delete it. Child profiles can be managed by tapping the child’s name. Deleting a record does not remove a copy already contained in an older backup or exported file.

How do I delete a shared family?

The family owner can open Settings → Family sharing → Delete family account. Two confirmations are required because this permanently deletes the shared family archive and the owner’s Little hours iCloud backups. It does not delete the Apple Account.

Invited parents cannot delete the owner’s family. Other devices clear their shared copy when they reconnect; previously exported files and other parents’ private backups cannot be erased remotely. See the privacy policy for details.

Why am I not receiving reminders?

Check that notifications are allowed for Little hours in your iPhone’s settings. Focus modes, notification summaries and Lock Screen settings can change when and where an alert appears. Also check the reminder’s selected days and daytime limits in the app.

When notifications and NapTrack are enabled, nap reminders are scheduled fifteen minutes before the suggested time. Suggestions and reminders can change when you edit sleep records or the nap schedule.

How should I use NapTrack?

Choose your child’s nap schedule and keep logging sleep. NapTrack uses the recorded history to suggest the next nap or bedtime. You can compare two schedules during a nap transition.

These are estimates, not a guarantee or medical advice. Follow your child’s cues and seek advice from a qualified health professional if you are concerned about their sleep or health.

Can I bring in my previous records?

Choose Import from Huckleberry while adding a child, paste the CSV export link and tap Import. Keep the original export as a separate copy. If an import fails, contact support with the error message; don’t post your export link publicly.

What should I do if the app crashes?

Reopen the app and check for an available update. Note what you were doing and whether it happens again. If you use TestFlight, you can send beta feedback through TestFlight.

Contact me with the app version, device model, iOS or watchOS version, and the steps that led to the problem. Please avoid deleting the app as a first troubleshooting step: unsynced or unbacked-up records could be lost.
